Need a reason to work harder or a goal to aim for - this is the fun stuff that gives back on all that committment and sweat!

Marathons, adventure races, triathlons, Ironman, mud runs and more... Take Shape has organised teams in many events, and you should see the grins on the faces of everyone after the races : )

We make it easy for you to sign up, and put you together with people who will laugh and support each other through both the training and event. There are trainers in the event on the big day as well. A fabulous way to try something exciting and challenging!

Adventure Races

Want to try something different, that will get your ticker ticking and your brain firing? Need some help reading a map? We are organising teams for adventure racing, most races take around 3 hours to do and you will required to run, mountain bike and kayak - all of which we can assist you with.

We know you will love it, but we also know how daunting a new event can be so we have organised practice sessions that cover the basics and can even help guide you through your first race. Call us for details of the next training session and any race you might have seen.

Adventure Weekends

Our annual adventure weekend is another big chance to take your hard work out to play.

Relaxed and very social, we take you away to somewhere not too far distant for a big weekend of active fun. There might be horse riding, rock climbing... surfing lessons.... bushwalks.... but you can bank on some great exercise as well as good food and great company.


Want to go bushwalking? But don’t know where to go? Take Shape Adventures will guide you on a series of bushwalks around Melbourne and further afield allowing you discover new places and promote a fit and active lifestyle. Our bush walks are a key part of our program to reward your training with some real life fun.

So far we’ve wandered through tree palm lined paths in the Dandenong's, tramped around Anakie Gorge, had a brilliant hill climb up Arthur’s Seat that finished with a lazy sun and sea swim, and we’ve plenty more planned. Oh and did we mention you get a great healthy lunch as part of the deal?

You get:
  • a fully guided bushwalk ranging from a few hours to multi-day
  • support making sure you have all the right equipment
  • organised transport, either with us or part of a car share
  • each walk will be graded and have a recommended fitness level
