I get such a buzz from seeing people persevere and reach their fitness goals. Training for distance running, whether it be 10km, a half marathon or a full marathon does not come naturally to most people and requires commitment, but the benefits in the end are certainly worth it.

Background:
I have been running for approximately 15 years however have reached some significant milestones within the last 2 years. I was satisfied with running 10-12kms for fitness but was challenged by Tracey to run a half marathon in 2010. Needless to say this turned into running a full marathon a year later! It was extremely satisfying to reach a milestone I had never previously thought possible.

Training philospohy:
Perseverance pays off!!
