I was hiking at Werribee Gorge on the weekend and it was beautiful to see the wattle starting to bloom, which always triggers a wonderful change in my mood and mindset because it means spring is on the way!
Spring is a time of growth and renewal in nature so it’s a great opportunity to open our eyes to the spring in our own lives.
Use these last few weeks of winter for some introspection and reflection about where you would like to see change and growth in your life and create a plan to make it happen!
Would you like to change jobs? Start studying? Do you want to feel fitter and healthier? Is it time to put yourself first?
- Set yourself a goal – make inspired choices and take action.
- Put your goal in writing – somewhere you can see it – and focus on how achieving this goal will make you feel. Proud? Strong? Capable? Inspired?
- Focus on the journey towards your goal, as well as the goal itself.
- View challenges as opportunities – don’t quit – learn from your mistakes. When you know better, you do better so pick yourself up and start again!
Break away from winter and enthusiastically start directing all of your energy towards pursuing your goal/s. Then in summer – the season of sunshine, satisfaction, community and recreation – celebrate all your hard work and success!
